The way we study in our country is not same as it is over here (USA). It is mostly British System. But now
things are changing. More schools are changing their policies and making it American semester
system.
We had to study 10 years of schools before we appear on an exam called "S.S.C." (Secondary School Certificate). The whole country's 10th grade students have to appear on that exam to get into the college level (if they pass!!!). Then we study 2 years in college and appear on another exam called "H.S.C." (Higher Secondary School Certificate). After passing this exam we can study at Univeristy level. Fortunately I passed both the BIG exams and then went to study Computer Science in a university named North South University, the first ever Private University in our country. It's system is totally like American Univeristies. It has affiliation with many universities in United States. It was 4 years of Bachelor Degree. I graduated on 18th December 1996. After finishing my undergrad I worked as a Teaching Assistant in my univeristy for seven months. Then I got my addmission in Central Missouri State University. I started Masters on Business Administration concentrating on Computer Information System (CIS) but after one semester I switched to Masters of Sicence in Information Technology (MSIT). I have finished my masters fall'99. I am planning to finish MBA within 2000. I came United States on 24th August 1997. It is a nice school. I like it very much and it has lots of good faculties. The standard is good and for that reason most of the CIS people get jobs even before they graduate. |
